About
Greg Kinney, associate archivist, holds a joint appointment with the University Archives and the University of Michigan Athletic Department. Kinney works with the Athletic Department to insure the preservation of the department's records and access to the very popular history of athletics at Michigan. Records transferred from the department to the Bentley Historical Library include films, programs, scrapbooks, photographs, posters as well as administrative correspondence, memos, and reports.
In addition, the Athletic Department's website features a wealth of information on its history, with much derived from the archival records preserved at the Bentley Historical Library. Kinney also oversees the research and development of archival description at the Bentley, in particular the use of Encoded Archival Description.
