Brian A. Williams

About
Brian Williams, associate archivist, administers the archival processing of university accessions. Processing constitutes a core function of the University Archives operation, since it involves a careful analysis of new accessions, followed by arrangement, description, and preservation of records according to standard archival principles.
Since his appointment in 1994 as an archivist at the Bentley Historical Library, Williams has achieved a firm grasp of the university's administrative communications. In particular, he has worked closely with the office of the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. He has also specialized in the university's records pertaining to medical research and education. New staff, including School of Information students within the Archives and Records Management Specialization, learn from Williams about processing large and complex university records.
