The Bentley Historical Library, which is a repository for original, unpublished archival and manuscript collections pertaining to the history of the University of Michigan and the state of Michigan, has considerable materials of interest to the genealogist. A large concentration of our materials focuses on Washtenaw County. There is, however, considerable information on many other counties in Michigan. Materials of interest include printed histories of counties and towns, city directories, census indexes, plat books, newspapers, and Washtenaw County censuses. (read more...)
