While many people know of the importance of Title IX, or at least have a sense of its importance in the ongoing work to address discrimination against women, particularly in education, less well known are the executive orders that preceded it, and the work of dedicated women activists to leverage those orders into real change in the academic world.

Award-winning author and former editor of the Michigan Daily and of The Washington Post Sara Fitzgerald will share how a crucial part of that effort played out right here at the University of Michigan.
