This conference, held in 2022 upon the completion of the Detroit Observatory’s renovations, discusses the role of the observatory in the history of science and astronomy.

In this second session, Pat Seitzer, Emeritus Professor of Astronomy, Andrew Rutledge, Historian at the Bentley Historical Library, and Saley Oey, Professor of Astronomy at U-M, discuss the Detroit Observatory’s place in the history of astronomy.
