Michigan in the Olympics
2006 - Torino
Michigan had two representatives at the Torino games, but neither won a medal as their teams fell short of expectations. Mike Knuble (UM 1992-199) played forward for the U.S. hockey. He saw action in six games, netting one goal and one assist. The U.S. team finished in 8th place.
Goalie Marty Turco (199-1998) U-M's all-time leader in wins and shutouts was a reserve goalie for Canada. The Canadians finished a disappointing 7th.
