A Detroit, Mich. native and a University of Michigan graduate (Class of 1951). As a student, Bratman worked as a reporter and associate editor for the Michigan Daily student newspaper. After graduation, Bratman worked as an editor for various trade publications, including serving as a guest editor at Mademoiselle magazine.  The collection includes two scrapbooks and a small collection of papers highlighting social activities and student life on campus, clippings of Michigan Daily articles authored by Bratman, graduation literature, and correspondence. One of the scrapbooks contains several photographs.
