Captain of 1925 team and held his own among super stars on team. This eleven was called one of the greatest he ever coached by Fielding H. Yost as it won the Conference title. Of Brown he said, "One of the greatest inspirational leaders I have seen." Later, his son led the 1962 Wolverines under Coach Bump Elliott.
