Jim Pace

Originally from Grand Rapids, Mich., where he played sandlot football with Terry Barr, Jimmy's career was replete with thrilling runs with All-American honors. Led Big Ten scoring with 10 touchdowns, topped ballcarriers with a 5.84 yard average, and further proved his great speed by winning the Big Ten 60-yard indoor dash title. Although he was not a regular as a sophomore, he scored twice and then played 289 minutes his junior season to average 4.8 yards. He became Michigan's Most Valuable Player in 1957.
