University of Michigan Football All-American
Henry (Ernie) Vick
Center, 1921
Following the footsteps of such giant immortals as Cunningham and Schulz, he became one of Michigan's greatest centers despite his comparatively small stature. His terrific tackling and blocking earned him nation-wide attention. Walter Camp wrote: "Ernie is the most accurate passer ever to put a ball into play. Dependable under great pressure, a wonderful tackler." Also starred in baseball.
