John Vitale
Center
An outstanding, versatile offensive lineman known for his very quick feet. Vitale was a four-year starter for the Wolverines. The Detroit native was a two-time first team All-Big Ten selection and was an All-American pick in 1988. A consummate team player, Vitale made the switch from guard to center in the fall of 1986, in an effort to strengthen the line. His senior year was capped with a 22-14 win in the 1989 Rose Bowl over Southern California.
