Marquis Walker

Becoming the main target in the Wolverine's passing attack in 2001, Marquise Walker rewrote the Michigan receiving record book, earning himself team MVP honors. During his senior season, in which he was named a first-team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association, Walker set school season records for receptions (86), receiving yards (1,143), and 100-yard receiving games (6) and also set new marks for single game receptions (15 on two occasions) and finished his career with 36 consecutive games with a catch, another Wolverine record. Additionally, Marquise broke Anthony Carter's career record for r receptions, gaining 176 while moving into fifth place on the all-time receiving yardage list. A native of Syracuse, N.Y., Walker was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third round of the 2002 NFL Draft.
