John Anderson

John earned All-American honors as an outside linebacker and twice was selected as an Academic All-American. He was named to the Academic All-Big Ten team at linebacker and as a punter. He led the Wolverines in punting for four seasons, including a 41.5 yard average in 1976 that was the second highest in modern Michigan football. He won the Frederick Matthaei Award for leadership and achievement and the Meyer Morton Award. A first-round draft selection, he became an immediate success with the Green Bay Packers.
