Easton family.
Papers of the Easton-Meriam-Taylor and Adams families of Lima Township, Washtenaw County, Mich., include photocopies of letters from Ambrose J. Easton (Sept. 15 and Sept. 22, 1861). He served in Company K, 4th Michigan Infantry. The collection also includes a letter (July 7, 1862) from Harrison H. Jeffords of the same company, describing the death of Ambrose Easton at the battle of Malvern Hill.
