Michigan in the Civil War: Regiments

The Michigan Historical Collections concentrates on collecting materials relating to the history of Michigan and its people, so Michigan regiments are naturally heavily represented among the Civil War collections. Many regiments raised in other states, as well as organizations of the regular U.S. Army and U.S. volunteers, are also represented.
