The papers of this Detroit, Mich., family include typescripts of three letters (Mar. 21 and Apr. 19, 1862 and Feb. 11, 1863) of Isaac S. Elliott, probably of Wilmington, Del., who served in an unidentified unit. The letters describe conditions in southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas, including the battlefield at Pea Ridge.
