Hoyt was a resident of Mount Morris, Mich. The collection contains her memorandum book. This volume was first used for poetry and notes (1864) by George F. Heustis of the 1st Company Provisional Cavalry, Veterans Reserve Corps, then later used by Hoyt for poetry, arithmetic calculations, and various notes.
