Collection includes letters of Duston Marr (1827-1897) of Onondaga, Ingham County, Mich., served in the 1st Michigan Cavalry during the Civil War. Letter (Nov.23, 1861) from Duston Marr describing his attempt to move to Missouri disrupted by rebels there; letter (Nov. 1865) from Duston Marr at Fort Leavenworth, Kans., describing army life.
