Michigan in the Civil War

The collection consists of photocopies of typescripts, chiefly of poetry. One of the poems, "Old Boys of the Fourth," describes Michigan's 4th Infantry Regiment. Also included is a copy of a letter (Mar. 1, 1885) to Charles DuPont describing Barlow's memories of the battle of Gaines Mill, June27, 1862. Barlow served in Company K, 4th Michigan Infantry, from June 1861 to February 1863.
