Michigan in the Civil War
Ralph, Oscar, 1845-1863.
One letter (June 1, 1863) written to his mother. He describes the pine shrubs of Virginia and the battlefield of Bull Run. He mentions measles in camp. Ralph, from Moscow, Hillsdale County, Mich., was a wagoner in Company F, 7th Michigan Cavalry, from January, 1863, until he was killed in action at Falling Waters July 14, 1863.
