Torrey, George D., 1842-1862.

Four letters (Feb. 18- Mar. 11, 1862) written from Kentucky and Tennessee to his parents, in which he tells them of his activities. Torrey, from Flint, Mich., was in Company A, 13th Michigan Infantry, and died of disease in April 1862.

One letter, written by the Rev. Henry H. Northrop, chaplain of the 13th Michigan Infantry, to the father of George D. Torrey, concerns the death and burial of young Torrey.
