Benson, John Roger, 1837-1911.
Four volumes of poetry, essays, and sketches (1848-1896 but chiefly 1860s), some of them with Civil War themes. Benson served with the 110th and 115th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiments. Much of his work seems to have been written while he was in the army, but only a small portion directly relates to his service.
