Alcott, Russell H., 1825-1862.

Alcott was a resident of Manchester, Mich., and captain in Company A, 1st Michigan Infantry. Two letters to Mrs. Alcott describing the death of her husband at the Second Battle of Bull Run, including a letter, Sept. 4, 1862, from M. B. Cleveland, chaplain of the 44th Illinois Infantry, and a letter, Sept. 4, 1862, from E. C. Judd, adjutant of the 1st Michigan Infantry.
