This collection documents the family of Michael Vreeland (or Vreelandt) of Flat Rock, Mich., and his children, especially Daniel C. Vreeland; also the related family of Francis I. Clarke (or Clark), also of Flat Rock. Francis I. Clarke's son Frank Clark served as a corporal in Company C, 1st Michigan Cavalry. The collection contains one letter (Feb. 15, 1864) from Frank Clark to his mother, describing camp life.
