Woodbury, Dwight A., 1826-1862.
Woodbury, of Adrian, Mich., entered the 4th Michigan Infantry as colonel, June 20, 1861, and was killed in action at Malvern Hill, July 1, 1862. The collection contains official correspondence and orders and one letter (July 5, 1862) from Henry N. Strong to the father of Colonel Woodbury, telling him of the death of his son while rallying his men. Strong was chaplain in the 4th Infantry, June 20, 1861-July 20, 1862, when he resigned.
