Woodbury, George E., 1840-
Three letters (1862-1863) written to Belle Treadwell. They give details of life on the march towards Jackson, Miss., bivouacking in rain and snow or singing around the campfires, guard duty, foraging, burning bridges and a sawmill, and skirmishing. Woodbury, of Charlotte, Mich., was in Company I, 6th Michigan Infantry.
