Sylvia Davidson lived in Lenawee County, Mich. Her papers include a reminiscence of the Civil War, which includes descriptions of her visits to military encampments. The collection also includes certificates relating to the military service of her husband, Jehial Davidson, sergeant and later 2nd lieutenant in Company F, 26th Michigan Infantry.
