Darwin Olney was a resident of Dowagiac, Mich., who served in the First Michigan Cavalry during the Civil War, was taken prisoner and died in prison in 1865. The collection consists of transcriptions of the Civil War service records of Darwin Olney and pension application by his widow, and photographs.
