Hathaway, Albert L.
Hathaway was a resident of Hartford Township, Mich., and later Harbor Springs, Mich., who served in the 8th Michigan Cavalry during the Civil War. He was separated from his regiment and taken prisoner on Stoneman's Raid, August 1864. His collection consists of photocopies of seven letters (June 1864-Sept. 1865) and an undated autobiography describing his Civil War service in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia with the 8th Michigan Cavalry.
