Bush, Ransom, 1824-1862.
Excerpts from a letter (July 20-30, 1861) written from Fairfax Station to his wife in Dexter, Mich. He tells of the battle of Bull Run, the guns of which can be heard at the Station; of foraging for food; and of the plight of the families in the area. Bush was a sergeant in Company K, Fourth Michigan Infantry, and died of disease in Philadelphia, Sept. 11, 1862.
