Pratt, Curtis Z., 1837-1895.
Curtis Z. Pratt was a Civil War soldier who served with the 6th Michigan Infantry, Co. G; later commissioned 1st lieutenant in the 1st Regiment Corps d'Afrique, which became the 73rd Regiment United States Colored Troops. The collection includes transcriptions of twelve letters to his wife (Aug. 1861-Dec. 1864) describing activities. The transcriptions were made by Jon D. Reed. The collection also includes a biographical sketch of Pratt written by Reed.
