Williams, Alpheus S. (Alpheus Starkey), 1810-1878.

Alpheus Williams was a Detroit, Mich. resident who served as brigadier general (brevet major general) and division and corps commander during the Civil War. The collection includes jpeg copies of manuscript maps of the movements of Williams's troops during the Atlanta Campaign, May-July 1864 along with one field note (jpeg copy) and notes on the maps written by Roger Heiple.
