Russell, Francis Granger, b. 1837.

Russell was a former school teacher who worked as a civilian clerk in the Interior Dept. in Washington during the Civil War. His collection consists of a scrapbook of clippings chiefly about the Civil War, many of them letters by Russell from Washington (May 1861-Oct. 1862) published in the Livingston Republican.
