These records of the Board’s meetings and official actions begin in 1837. The full text is searchable through MLibrary, and is a good place to look for information about faculty hirings and promotions, and the establishment or reorganization of schools and departments.

The Encyclopedic Survey’s articles cover the history of different University of Michigan units and departments. Its four volumes were first published in 1942-1954; it was updated and converted to its current, digital form in 2017.
